Report warns about dangers of parental careers advice

27 May 2014

The BBC is this morning covering a report from the Association of Colleges which suggests that while parents have a role to play in their children's career decisions- and 70% of young people trust the job advice their parents give them - unfortunately parents could unintentionally be holding their children back through out of date and badly informed views.

Parents can find a selection of materials from Prospects Educational Resources which will aid them as they help their child find a career which they are suited to and will enjoy.

Students, their schools or families can also attend careers events, organised across the UK by Prospects, featuring hands on activities as they decide on their career path.
