London Business Awards — Judging under way
Earlier this month a group of independent judges, made up of business mentors and Consultants, company Directors and Chief Executives, gathered at Prospects House to embark on a challenge — judging 105 finalists for the London Business Awards.
The atmosphere was relaxed, with some finalists feeling quietly confident, yet eager to impress.
The judging process consisted of one and a half days of face to face interviews, to enable each shortlisted company to deliver first hand information on the who, what, when and why of their organisation.
In the customer service category alone, there were companies ranging from one to 100 years in business, £100,000 to £45million annual turnover, and one to 150 employees.
The calibre of entrants this year was particularly high. One judge commented: “They know their stuff, they’ve been through some tough times, but they’ve overcome them and developed procedures that work.”
No matter who the winners are next month, finalists are sure to agree that it’s the taking part that counts.
The shortlisted organisations will gain invaluable publicity and a chance to win more business.
The awards ceremony dinner will take place on 15 June at the Brewery, London.
