The region’s popular Skills North West event is evolving and in 2017 will become Choices, the Greater Manchester Careers, Skills and Apprenticeship Show. The event will continue to be held in Manchester at EventCity but will significantly increase in size as the biggest names in careers guidance events, Prospects, the employment, education, training and care company, the Careers and Enterprise Company and WorldSkills UK come together.
Working as one to create and deliver an inspirational and informative careers and skills event for young people aged 14-24 the event will reflect the needs of employers across the region.
Based on the experiential model of seeing, doing and exploring, as well as action planning, the event will feature skills competitions, interactive have a go activities, employer led features, talks and demonstrations from industry experts and professional advice on careers and apprenticeships. Up to 10,000 visitors will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of careers, learn more about technical jobs and apprenticeships and receive independent careers advice and guidance.
Prospects will lead on exhibitor engagement and visitor marketing, WorldSkills UK will manage the skills competitions, showcase stage and spotlight talks. The event will take place on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 March 2017 and is free to visit.
