National Careers Service West Midlands Partnering Opportunity

Prospects is the largest provider of the National Careers Service in the UK. Our in community offer provides customers with careers advice and guidance to help them enter employment or learning. In the West Midlands we provide the National Careers Service in:

  • Birmingham & Solihull
  • Black Country
  • Coventry & Warwickshire
  • Herefordshire & Worcestershire
  • Telford & Shropshire

We are seeking organisations to work with us to deliver a results focused service across these areas.

Key outcomes to be achieved:

  • 90% of customers seen achieve a ‘customer satisfaction outcome’
    This is achieved through meeting customers on a one-to-one basis for an information, advice and guidance session during which an action plan is developed. Afterwards at least 90% of customers should be satisfied with the service.
  • 80% of customers achieve a ‘career management outcome’
    These are activities that help customers enhance their career management, such as completion of a CV, employability workshops, voluntary work, attending jobs fairs, referring to accredited learning, etc.
  • 50% of customers are supported into jobs or accredited learning
    Customers find or continue in work for four continuous weeks work or start accredited learning.
  • The organisation will have or be working towards a minimum Ofsted Grade 2

The successful organisation/s will demonstrate a strong track record and experience in delivering information, advice and guidance to customers in the community. The successful organisation/s will also have strong relationships with key partners in the West Midlands. All delivery staff must have or be working towards a minimum IAG level 4 qualification.

iii) evidence of experience supporting customer groups such as customers who are unemployed, facing redundancy, have mental health conditions or disabilities, low qualification levels and customers in work but looking to progress in their career

v) projected volumes and caseloads
vi) how you will manage risk
