Cognitive Behaviour Therapy or CBT is a type of therapy which aims to help people manage their problems by challenging their unhelpful and negative thoughts (cognitions), moods and behaviours, it helps provide insight into how people’s thinking can affect their mood and consequent behaviour.
Most individuals can benefit from learning to think in a less negative and more goal orientated manner. Many of us put obstacles in the way of our successes purely by the way we think and behave in different situations. By learning to target and challenge these unhelpful cognitions and actions, we can have a profound effect on changing our outcomes and those of others.
PPTC are running a variety of cognitive behaviour therapy training sessions aimed at giving delegates the basic foundation of this therapeutic provision. By teaching participants how to identify self-limiting beliefs and behaviours, together with providing the tools for overcoming them, participants will be able to utilise this skill when working with clients in overcoming their own barriers to progression.
We are also able to offer specialist CBT training such as raising self-esteem and confidence, reducing stress and anxiety and dealing with anger and can deliver in house, bespoke packages where needed.
