| Redundancy response services |
The ‘Response to Redundancy’ Programme in South London, helps individuals who have already lost their jobs, those at risk of unemployment and companies considering making redundancies. The Response to Redundancy programme is a free service delivered by Prospects Professional Training and Consultancy (PPTC) on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council and the European Social Fund.
The services include workshops on alternative career paths, training in work readiness, CV writing and interview techniques and counselling skills. Accredited post-16 teacher training is available to career changers and managers under notice of redundancy or recently made redundant, can access the management workshop programme, including ‘job winning skills’ and specific management qualifications support.
For further information about the Response to Redundancy programme, contact 020 8649 6449. email pptc@prospects.co.uk
Prospects also works individually with major employers giving them direct help to support staff under threat of redundancy. A recent example was the Office of National Statistics, working through our London nextstep service. The support was for up to 850 members of staff being relocated from London to Wales.
A series of workshops were held covering CV writing, interview and job hunting techniques. The programme was very well received and has resulted in similar workshops being delivered to the Teacher Development Agency and Ministry of Justice staff.
