Ofsted Early Years Inspection Service

In September 2010 Prospects Services commenced delivery of the largest Early Years
Inspection and Regulation contract awarded by Ofsted. Covering the Midlands and the North of England our aim is to ensure that the recommendations we make about settings to Ofsted are based on clear, robust evidence gathered as part of the inspection process. We make judgements which are fair, unbiased and honest, which promote children’s welfare and takes account of whether the care and learning environment at each setting demonstrates that they are making a positive difference to the lives of young children in readiness for their future learning.
Louise Chisholm of Early Years at Prospects , said, "We are committed to the delivery of high quality early years and childcare services which have safeguarding at the heart of every activity. Our professional, trained inspectors are dedicated to ensuring that all settings provide the best possible outcomes for young children, in a secure and safe environment where they have lots of fun, as all young children should, whilst they learn”.
Our professional inspection and regulatory staff are dedicated to the work they undertake on behalf of all children and their families.
We also have a team of support staff providing all of our office back room functions working from our Early Years Inspection Service office in Nottingham, looking over the city's rejuvenated Old Market Square. This acts as a hub for a service of over 200 inspectors working across two regions.
All work received by us from Ofsted comes through this office, is distributed to the inspection workforce and then, following its completion, is quality assured (again by the office) before being submitted back to Ofsted.
