Virtual Careers Services in Milton Keynes - 18/02/2010
Connexions:MK, Milton Keynes Council’s young people’s advice and support service, is launching the only Virtual Connexions Centre on Monday 22nd February at 4.30pm at Connexions:MK, The Point, 602 Midsummer Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes.Three additional launch parties for young people will also take place simultaneously in Bletchley, Wolverton and Olney, to demonstrate some of the remote features of the Virtual Centre, including an online gaming tournament.
Southwark Unemployed Youth to get Access - 17/02/2010
At the end of 2009 the Prime Minister’s announced he will build on the September guarantee by offering a place in learning to all 16 and 17 year olds who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) in January 2010. As a result, unemployed young people living in Southwark received extra help from their personal advisers to access the January Guarantee and Future Jobs Funds opportunities following a successful pilot programme aimed at 16 – 18 year olds in the borough.
Jobseekers to Gain Employment - 05/02/2010
The new Jobcentre Plus contract to deliver the Community Task Force Phase 1 in Devon and Cornwall has been awarded to Prospects Services Ltd. The contract worth £2.1m is the Work Experience element of the guarantee and went live at the end of January 2010.
Prospects Launches New Look Website - 04/02/2010
A new website to provide visitors with a virtual experience, information and industry knowledge, in education and careers and much more is launched this month. The site is designed by Prospects Services as a resource for educationalists, employers, young people and adults, and is the result of months of analysis, design, and programming.
