Remember to make your voice heard, ACT NOW!

Make your voice heard by taking part in two petitions on the future of careers advice through the HM Government e-petitions website. Please also encourage your friends, family and contacts to take part by forwarding the links below and use ALL your social networks.

We need to collect 100,000 signatures so that the issue can be debated in parliament to save the service, so all young people can have access to quality, professional and impartial careers advice and guidance.

ACT NOW, details of the two petitions are listed below;

Careers advice for young people petition calls upon ‘Ministers to ensure that all young people up to age 19 can, if and when they choose, access face to face quality assured impartial careers advice and guidance - provided by professionally competent careers advisers who have knowledge and skills informed by the labour market’. The closing date is 19.2.2012

Save face to face careers advice for all young people petitions to ‘save the independent Careers Adviser in school who can provide impartial information, advice and guidance. This is vital to ensure that all young people make appropriate choices to maximise their successful career development and prosperity. The government should make available adequate and ring fenced funding to schools to enable them to supply this provision.’ The closing Date is 18.11.2011
