National Career Guidance Show – 22/03/11

Last week, over 1,500 careers guidance professionals attended the National Career Guidance show at Wembley Stadium. Jointly organised by Prospects Events and the Institute of Career Guidance, the event gave people working with young people and adults the chance to network, learn and meet like-minded colleagues. The amazing venue was host to over 100 organisations including EDF Energy, Institute for Learning, Metropolitan Police and Cognisoft.

Across the two day event, there were expert seminars, such as ‘Perspectives on the Big Society: the role of CEIAG’, ‘Is a degree worth it? Offering sound advice in uncertain times’ and ‘Looking to the future – new technologies, new jobs’ which were all so popular that there were queues to get in. With challenging times ahead, the seminars gave great insight into the future for careers guidance professionals and provided attendees with a host of new and innovative ideas.
