National Career Guidance Show – 25/02/11

The National Career Guidance Show North took place on Thursday 17th February; this one day event was held for the first time at Saviles, Leeds, and attracted over 700 visitors.

The purpose was to give career guidance professionals, working with young people and adults, the opportunity to network, learn and meet like-minded colleagues, gaining valuable insights in the process.

The event was a roaring success, with over 60 exhibitors and a series of expert seminars throughout the day. More than 250 delegates attended Michael Larbalestier’s lecture on “Getting more from Google”.

Prospects had multiple representation, with three stands; Prospects Education Resources Unit, the Prospects Group and Prospects Professional Training and Consultancy. All three attracted a large amount of interest.

Prospects’ corporate stand included displays and live demonstrations from Careers3d, marketing brochures for a wide range of our services, the new Leeds Connexions newsletter and information on the Leeds Pathway website.

The next National Career Guidance Show takes place on 9 - 10th March in Wembley, London. This two-day event will aim to replicate the vibrant atmosphere of its Leeds counterpart with a similar make up of key educational providers and invaluable networking opportunities.
