The best companies in the capital were recognised at the London Business Awards last night. Winners of each of the 11 categories, along with the overall London Business of the Year 2014, which was selected by independent judges from all the winners, were revealed during the ceremony and dinner at The Brewery, Chiswell street.

More than 330 guests attended the award ceremony which was hosted by Neil Fox, Breakfast DJ on Magic 105.4, which was the media partner for the London Business Awards. Entertainment was provided by LED Drummers. Celebrating enterprise and innovation, The London Business Awards are organised by Prospects Business Support, part of the Prospects Group that provides a wide range of education, employment and training services in the UK and internationally.
Meantime Brewing Company was announced as London Business of the Year. Judges selected them because of their good customer service; an innovative approach to marketing, a solid business plan and showing great passion for the business and industry. The judges felt this company embodies all the characteristics they look for in the business of the year, and that this year’s winner is a perfect example of London’s thriving business community.

There were more than 200 entries for the Awards, with 105 selected as finalists. Shortlisted businesses were put through their paces in a series of face-to-face interviews with industry and business experts as part of the judging day. After the interviews, the independent judges formed a panel to decide the winners.
