CfA supports Business Charity Awards
Last month, the Third Sector Business Charity Awards were held at the prestigious Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, W1. The black tie event celebrated the many and varied ways that corporate Britain supports charities and the voluntary sector.
It was hosted by BBC TV news presenter Huw Edwards, and Nick Hurd, the Minister for Civil Society, gave the opening speech. It was attended by over 400 guests, including CfA staff Suzie Spooner, Paul Welch, and Smita Rai (pictured, l-r)
The awards event saw a total of 19 awards presented, one of which, the Employee Engagement Award, was sponsored by CfA. This award recognises companies that have adopted policies which have resulted in a significant increase in charitable donations or activities by its workforce. It was awarded to Morrisons for their contribution to Save the Children.
