Careers take-off at Heathrow Jobs & Careers Fair
The tenth annual Heathrow Jobs & Careers Fair took place last week at the Sofitel Hotel at Terminal 5. The event, which is delivered by Prospects Events, gives students from local schools and colleges an opportunity to find out about the range of careers at the Airport.
More than 75,580 people work at Heathrow across 413 different companies. By exhibiting at the Heathrow Jobs & Careers Fair companies, particularly those looking to recruit, could showcase their organisations to young people seeking career paths and those looking for work.
More than 5,500 visitors attended the event, learning and discovering the career opportunities available at Heathrow Airport from apprenticeships, graduate schemes, work experience, education and training and live job vacancies.
Visitors included pre-booked school groups from the five local boroughs; Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Slough and Spelthorne during the day and young people and their parents in the evening. Ideal for young people aged 16-24, the event was the perfect arena for Heathrow’s future workforce to meet and find out about the careers available and the skills required.
