Mid-life career review workshops
Run by Prospects in the City, City Careers Open House (CCOH) is at the heart of the City of London's work to raise aspirations among young people and make them aware of the employment opportunities in the Square Mile.
Annually, over 1000 state funded primary and secondary school pupils are given the opportunity to visit a City firm, including a tour of the building and the opportunity to meet employees from a range of departments. It is aimed at Year 6 pupils (ages 10-11) with the option for their parents/carers to accompany them on the visit and involves:
- a drama based preparatory workshop to help pupils and their parents/carers get ready for the visit to the City firm
- a half-day interactive session at the City firm incorporating a tour of the building
- information aimed at supporting parents
If you know any schools that would be interested in arranging a class visit for their Year 6, please email email@example.com or visit www.prospectsinthecity.co.uk/index.php/teachers/city-careers-open-house/ or give the Prospects in the City team a call on 020 8315 1014
