Following the contract win early this year, Prospects is supporting Northamptonshire’s Youth Ambition awards. The awards celebrate the county’s young unsung heroes. Prospects was appointed by Northamptonshire County Council to deliver careers services for the next three years. Prospects won a competitive tender process thanks to its impressive track record and innovative approach to helping young people.
Prospects careers service is building on Northamptonshire’s current strengths, and all young Northamptonshire residents, specifically vulnerable young people aged 13-19, anyone aged up to 25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and young people who have left care, will be supported and get extra help to ensure they make the right choices when they are ready to leave school or college.
Prospects is sponsoring the Taking Charge of Your Life award at the annual Northamptonshire Youth Ambition Awards. The awards are run by Northamptonshire County Council in partnership with Northamptonshire Newspapers’ Education Awards. The award winners will be announced in a special prize-giving ceremony at Wicksteed Park Pavilion on 29 June.
Nick Bell, Chief Executive, Prospects said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Youth Ambition Awards. We work with thousands of young people across the country including care leavers, people with special educational needs and disabilities, those not in employment, education or training, teenage parents and young offenders. In Northamptonshire we currently support young people to move from education into employment and hope to expand our services in the county in the future. At the heart of all of our work are the young people themselves, their needs are central to our approach and we help to inspire them to overcome the barriers they face and develop their potential. This is why we are proud to be sponsoring the Taking Charge of your Life Award.”
Prospects can be contacted by young people, their families and carers for support and advice on 01604 630033.
