Two Prospects colleagues nominated for National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards

Prospects Chief Executive, Nick Bell, and Director of Quality and Business Improvement Team, Antony Pearce, have both been nominated for awards from the National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards, the ‘Oscars of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion world’.

Nick Bell, has been nominated for Chief Executive of the Year Award. Nick joined Prospects as Chief Executive in October 2014. Prior to this Nick was Chief Executive of Staffordshire County Council. He has more than 20 years’ experience working in local government. Nick has been a champion of diversity and inclusion throughout his career and brought this ethos to his role at Prospects.

Antony Pearce has been nominated for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager of the Year Award. Antony and his team have been responsible for driving the EDI agenda through Prospects to ensure colleagues are recognised for their work to be accessible and inclusive of all.

Solat Chaudhry, CEO of the National Centre for Diversity commented:
“I would like to congratulate Nick and Antony on being nominated. They are strong contenders in a strong field. The field is so strong that all those that have been nominated should feel honoured and exhilarated that they are in such good company”.

Speaking of his nomination, Nick said:
“I am delighted to be nominated for this award. EDI is vital for all organisations, making them more accessible and open to customers, supply chains and employees of all backgrounds and abilities. At Prospects, we know that diversity makes us stronger and gives us more to offer our customers which is vital so that we can continue to inspire 500,000 adults and young people each year to develop their potential.”

Antony echoed Nick’s words, saying:
“This award nomination is an honour and it is one that I share with my team as well as all colleagues at Prospects who work to make our organisation more inclusive. I am grateful to all colleagues who have worked so hard to evidence what they do so that we could be awarded the Investors in Diversity status.”

The award winners will be announced at the National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards on Wednesday 20 January at The ICC Birmingham.
