Developing a future proof workforce
On Tuesday (22 September), Prospects sponsored the launch of the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) South East Group. The IEP is the only professional membership institute for the employability profession. It represents its members to key influencers and sets the standards for the profession. The event was held at Epping Forrest College.
The event theme was Developing a futureproof workforce and delegates heard from industry experts and employers. The event was for IEP members, employers, HR professionals, recruiters, those working in employability and other interested parties.
The event began Penny Morgan, Principal of Epping Forest College welcoming everyone and was followed by Andrew Gunter - Smith FIEP, Prospects Regional Director, who set the scene for the event. Laura McNeil, HR Manager for Marriot outlined how they make work experience work for them. Jeffery Joseph, Community Investment Manager for Higgins then presented the good, the bad and the ugly of apprenticeships. Andrew then introduced Prospects and our services.
A panel which included the presenters along with Richard Brooks FIEP, Director of Employment Solutions for Royal British Legion Industries and Liz Sewell, Director of IEP. Delegates had the opportunity to ask questions about building sustainable workforces.
