More than 600 attend South Cerney’s Open Day
More than 600 people of all ages attended the May Open Day at South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre on Monday (4 May), despite expected poor weather.
Participants paid £10 each for a half day ticket, giving them access to different activities including archery, canoe tours, family sailing trips, fun boat sailing, kayaking, powerboat rides and stand up paddling.
The day was full of fun and laughter. The event has led South Cerney to receive several group booking enquiries, 10 tipi booking enquiries and interest in the different courses they run.
Here is some feedback from people who attended:
"Awesome day today, all the staff were epic.” Vicki.

"Just returned from an afternoon at South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre. What a great day! Had huge amounts of fun trying out kayaking, canoeing, sailing and paddle boarding. Managed to stand up for the paddle boarding (and also managed to fall in a couple of times too). Thanks to all of the staff for putting on a great day.” Rob.
