Bromley Business Award 2014 Winners
Winners of each of the 11 categories, along with the overall Bromley Business of the Year 2014, were revealed during a ceremony and gala dinner at The Warren on 16 October.
The Bromley Business Awards are organised by Prospects Business Support, part of the Prospects Group which provides a wide range of education, employment and training services in the UK and internationally, and sponsored by London Biggin Hill Airport.
Brownhill Insurance Group was announced as Bromley Business of the Year. London Biggin Hill Airport selected them because of the family run business’s dedication to its staff and clients, engaging both to exemplify a strong and sustainable business. The company has also diversified its products and services to stay ahead of competition and has an excellent plan for future growth.
Gillian Henderson, Company Director of Brownhill Insurance Group, said:
“Words simply cannot describe how excited and honoured we are to have won this award. Being local is really important to us especially as we look after many clients in the South of London, Kent and beyond. This award is also a credit to our amazing staff who, over the last 35 years in business, have always gone the extra mile for our clients. It means a lot to be recognised for this award as Brownhills love insurance, our staff, our clients and we are here to help them look after what they love.”
Rose Saunders, Head of Prospects Business Support, said:
“Congratulations to all the winners. The judges were blown away by the standard of entries but selected winners which demonstrated the way they are leading business in Bromley and beyond. The awards last night were a fitting tribute to these cutting edge businesses, which call Bromley home. Last night was not only an opportunity to celebrate achievements but to look to the future and grow through the new networks created at the gala dinner and the opportunities that winning brings.”
There were nearly 60 entries for the Awards, with 35 selected as finalists. Shortlisted businesses were put through their paces in a series of face-to-face interviews with industry and business experts as part of the judging day. After the interviews, the independent judges formed a panel to decide the winners.
