Prospects commit to TUC’s Dying to Work Charter

Charter protects rights at work for those facing a terminal illness.
Campaign began in 2016 following Derbyshire sales manager losing her job after cancer diagnosis.

Prospects, the employment, skills, care and education company, has today (Thursday, 20 September) added its name to a charter aimed at helping employees who become terminally ill at work.

Prospects provides education for all young people within Feltham Young Offenders Institution. Louiza Nener, an employability teacher at Feltham YOI, has received a Prisoner Alliance Award from the Prisoners Education Trust, for her work teaching and supporting the young people at Feltham to write CVs, apply for jobs and communicate effectively.

Prospects is the prime contractor for the National Careers Service in three areas: London, the South West and the West Midlands. They also provide the service in South Yorkshire, as part of the Careers Yorkshire and the Humber Consortium.

64 year old Diane from Coventry got in touch with the West Midlands National Careers Service after she heard about it from a friend. Diane wanted to improve her personal skills and find a suitable computer course to develop her digital skills, enabling her to find different job roles to her current position as a cleaner at a local school.
