Skills Action Plan for London launched
76% of London’s businesses are reported as struggling to find candidates with the right skills and the capital faces an acute skills challenge.
London First, Prospects’ partner in delivering the UK’s largest jobs and careers event, Skills London, has launched its Skills Action Plan for London. The plan, authored by London First’s Employment and Skills Commission – business leaders including the Chairman of Tesco and the CEO of Heathrow – sets out the membership organisation’s intentions.
London First and Prospects plan to play their part by growing Skills London by creating an online interactive platform. This will help learners and parents better access the entry-level training and jobs opportunities that business has to offer; allowing Skills London to connect young people and employers beyond this two-day event.
