Prospects takes a stand at the Local Government Association Conference
The annual Local Government Association Conference takes place this week in Bournemouth. Prospects is one of more than 120 exhibitors who will be represented at this vital event for council leaders, chief executives and senior representatives from the private, voluntary and community sectors. With up to 1,300 delegates expected to attend the conference, it is the biggest event in the local government calendar.
This year’s conference will be the first major local government event to take place after the historic Brexit vote and comes at a pivotal time for local government as it considers the future. The conference will discuss the big issues facing the sector – finance, housing, devolution and health and social care as well as many other agenda-setting debates.
Prospects are hosting a stand at the event and will be informing visitors about the work we do inspiring more than 500,000 young people and adults to develop their potential each year. The conference welcomes council leaders and chief executives, senior officers, lead members and policy makers across all services provided by local authorities and is an excellent opportunity for Prospects to network with these key commissioning influencers.
Senior Prospects colleagues including Nick Bell, Andrew Coates and Andrew Gunter-Smith will be attending the conference to help promote Prospects and how we help local governments deliver a spectrum of services.
Nick Bell commented “This year Prospects has won a number of significant local government contracts and has become integral to service delivery in these areas. The LGA conference is the perfect forum for us to promote our expertise, our colleagues and our commitment to providing innovative delivery for our partners and future partners across local government.”
The conference will feature speeches from amongst others Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Rt Hon The Lord Adonis, Lord Ahmad, Sir James Bevan, Tom Bloxham MBE, Billy Bragg, Natalie Elphicke OBE, John McDonnell MP, Sir Richard Stilgoe and Toby Young.
