Prospects speaks at Leicestershire Meet the Provider event
Prospects recently attended a Meet the Provider Networking Event organised by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP). The event is designed to bring schools, colleges, enterprise advisers and education providers together to share expertise with the sole aim to help improve young people’s access to good careers and enterprise education.
Jasbinder Bhoot from Prospects in Leicestershire hosted a stand at the event and was required to deliver a one minute elevator pitch about Prospects’ services to teachers and employers.
Anna Cyhan, Economic Growth and Investment Officer for LLEP commented: “Thank you so much for coming along to promote the Prospects offer in such a succinct and enthusiastic manner; it is no mean feat to undertake a one minute pitch in front of an audience of schools, providers and employers. You really got your message across professionally and clearly, and I am sure that this definitely helped to raise awareness of the Prospects offer.”
Anna continued: “I really appreciate you taking time out of a busy schedule to share in our ambition in increasing awareness of organisations who can support schools and young people, enhancing work readiness, reducing youth unemployment and ensuring a better fit between skills supply and skills demand across the LLEP area.”
Other speakers at the event included Professor Tristram Hooley, who attended the event presenting on ‘What works in Career and Enterprise Education.’ The LLEP presented and provided links to their ‘Skills for the Future’ research and labour market information guide. Other presentations included ‘What happens to young people at 16?’ and ‘An introduction to the East Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador network’.
