Moving South London Forward

Prospects has won a large, new DWP contract - Moving Forward in South London - to help 1,000 jobseekers in danger of becoming long term unemployed. The London Work Programme team will deliver this new project for a year, from offices in Lewisham, Lambeth, Plumstead and Croydon.

Customers will be supported back to work through a thirteen week programme of tailored support, which will address individual barriers to employment.
Support will include:

  • Basic skills assessments
  • Employability and realistic job goal setting
  • Money advice
  • Access to job opportunities and training through Prospects and external providers

Andrew Gunter-Smith, Prospects Operations Director, said, "I am delighted that we have secured this major new contract to support jobseekers in London. We will help to steer customers into employment through a combination of assessment, appropriate interventions, training and individual support."
